Star Wars Japan Instagram Starts Grogu Cutest in the Galaxy Anime Shorts

Disney Japan will release new original anime shorts based on Grogu from The Mandalorian, to commemorate the release of the “Grogu Cutest In The Galaxy” merchandise line. The merchandise goods are now available at Tokyo Comic Con 2024, which is being held between December 6-8, 2024.

From December 6, 2024, the official Star Wars Instagram account will share 1 to 2 shorts every month featuring the popular character also known as Baby Yoda, in his new design made for the “Grogu Cutest In The Galaxy” collection.

The first short is out now and it features Grogu following the titular Mandalorian, despite his insistence of staying behind, getting distracted by some butterflies, and then being scared by an alien creature and finally hugging the Mandalorian.

Additionally, the “Grogu Cutest In The Galaxy” merchandise will appear at an upcoming Star Wars Pop Up Store that will be available between December 18, 2024 and January 19, 2025 at Tokyu Plaza Ginza, as well as Isetan Shinjuku between January 5-15, 2025. Finally, the “Disney THE MARKET” store located at Matsuzakaya Nagoya will offer the items between December 11-24, 2024.

As a reminder, Studio Ghibli released an original short based on the popular character from The Mandalorian titled Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies. The short released on November 12, 2022 for Disney Plus.

The first “Grogu Cutest In The Galaxy” anime short is now out and more will appear on the Star Wars Instagram account. The Mandalorian is available on Disney Plus.
