Square Enix held a “Star Ocean Program R” special stage at TGS 2019 where they announced a Star Ocean: Anamnesis X Persona 5 Royal collaboration that brings several new characters to the smartphone RPG. [Thanks, Famitsu.]

The collaboration celebrates the upcoming Japanese release of Persona 5 Royal on October 31. Several characters were announced as part of the collaboration and they’re not only limited to Persona 5.

For starters we have Persona 5 protagonist as Joker as well as Persona 5 Royal’s new character Kasumi Yoshizawa.

Persona 4 protagonist Yu Narukami is one of the guest characters set to appear in the collaboration.

Star Ocean: The Second Story’s Rena revealed with a stylish makeover, sporting a Shujin Academy uniform.

Lastly, a collaboration story featuring the Tomokazu Sugita-voiced Yusuke Kitagawa was announced for Star Ocean: Anamnesis.

 

The collaboration launches in the Japanese version of the game in October 2019.

 

Star Ocean: Anamnesis is available on iOS and Android. The global version of the game is scheduled to shut down on November 5, 2019.  Persona 5 Royal releases for PlayStation 4 in Japan on October 31, 2019. The game releases in the West in 2020.
