Square Enix’s Transformers-Like Series, Gyrozetter, May Be Heading Overseas

Square Enix is about to roll out a new series with cars that change into robots called Gyrozetter. The series will kick off in Japan with an card collecting, arcade machine that transforms(!) in summer 2012.

The Final Fantasy maker has big plans for Gyrozetter. They’re pulling a page from Level-5’s playbook with an anime series, manga, toys, and a Gyrozetter game for 3DS in the works.

A project this big probably won’t stay in Japan and a trademark hints that is the case. Square Enix registered Gyrozetter in Europe for use with video games, toys, and comics.
