Square Enix Shares FFVII Drink Recipes for Christmas 2024

Square Enix shared Final Fantasy VII drink recipes via its Japanese FFVII Remake series X account on December 24, 2024, just ahead of Christmas day. People can use these recipes to replicate the drinks that are originally made in Square Enix’s cafes across Japan.

The company shared two drink recipes in the same tweet. The first one is the Mako’s Eye Drink that is based on the key substance in FFVII, which Square Enix had already published before during the 2023 Christmas Eve tweet. The second entry, Banora White Juice, was not included in last year’s tweet.

The full ingredient list for the newer Banora White Juice is as follows:

  • An adequate amount of ice blocks
  • 150 ml of apple juice
  • 20 ml of Butterfly Pea tea
  • 5 ml of Purple Haze syrup
  • An adequate amount of liquid lemon
  • An adequate amount of mint leaves

As a side note, Square Enix added a fine print cautioning that the composition of Butterfly Pea tea will make the Banora White Juice not suitable to drink for those who are pregnant or having a period.

The Japanese official tweet containing the drink recipe videos is also available to view right below:

The above two drinks take inspiration from Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII sub-series. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second entry in the Final Fantasy VII remake project, is readily available worldwide on PlayStation 5. Square Enix will port the title to PC on January 23, 2025.
