Square Enix Shared FFVII Remake Scene of Barret Telling Cloud About Avalanche

Square Enix often shares information in social media about characters and scenes from FFVII Remake. This time Barret takes the spotlight. Barret is the leader of an Avalanche splinter cell that is located in Midgar. During an optional scene in the late game, Barret and Cloud can share a moment together in FFVII Remake in which the leader reminisces about other Avalanche colleagues that Cloud hasn’t met.

This optional scene with Barret happens at the beginning of Chapter 14 in FFVII Remake, during the Main Scenario quest “Resolve.” Depending on decisions made throughout the game, the player can get a unique resolution scene with either Tifa, Aerith, or Barret. The scene happens during the night, at the garden in Aerith and Elmyra’s house.

During their conversation in FFVII Remake, Barret reminisces about other members of Avalanche. Like Finn, who Barret describes as a lazy person with an art streak in him. Finn was responsible for the Stamp drawings in the Midgar tunnels that helped Avalanche safely get to their objectives.

Meanwhile, Al is an intel expert capable of easily stealing codes. He is also described as a flirtatious individual that tried to hit on Tifa once. Nessie was the quartermaster of Barret’s Avalanche cell, and she was closed with Jessie. At the end of the scene, Barret promises introducing all of them to Cloud once they save Aerith.

Square Enix recently shared details about Aerith’s encounter with Marlene, as well as information on how she seems to know things she shouldn’t be able to know.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is immediately available for the PS4, PS5, and Windows PC. The second part of the Remake series is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and it will appear in early 2024.
