While we’re lucky enough to have a bountiful supply of cheap Final Fantasy games in the Greatest Hits line up, Japan wasn’t so fortunate until Square-Enix announced the Ultimate Hits lineup where they began reprinting many of their classics. Rare games like Valkyrie Profile (not so rare in Japan) and budget priced copies of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance popped on store shelves. Now they have a new line up of “Legendary Hits”, which is primarily comprised of Square-Enix’s non role playing PS1 games.

On the assembly line for 1575 yen ($13.33) are:

Bushido Blade

Bushido Blade 2

Tobal #1

Tobal #2

Dew Prism (Threads of Fate)

Square-Enix is also reprinting international editions of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. The international versions contain English voice acting and tweaked gameplay. Final Fantasy X International has a reworked sphere grid and X-2 has a whole separate final mission for the Gullwings. Both of these reprints are priced at 2940 yen ($24.90). With all of these Square-Enix reprints coming out in Japan when are we going to see more copies of Einhander or Chocobo Racing?
