Splatoon 3 Spring Fest Adds Splatoon 2 Items

While support for new Splatoon 3 events and items ended back in September 2024, Nintendo confirmed the 2025 Spring Fest Splatfest will return to the game and include items that debuted in Splatoon 2. The event runs between April 11-13, 2025, and the items will be available via the News section on a Nintendo Switch for people who own the game.

In the case of the Splatoon 3 Spring Fest Splatfest for 2025, the question is “When do you get things done?” The options are Morning, Afternoon, and Night. If it follows the usual pattern, Shiver should be tied to “Morning,” Frye will be the representative for “Afternoon,” and Big Man represents “Night.”

The theme is entirely new and different from last year’s event. In 2024, the question involved spring fluffiness and asked players to select which type of animal support. The teams were Shiver and Baby Chicks, Frye and Lil’ Bunnies, and Big Man and Bear Cubs. That ran between April 20-22, 2025, and the Bear Cubs ended up winning.

As for the free Inkling and Octoling customization items, you need to find the Splatoon 3 Spring Fest announcement in the News section on your Nintendo Switch to claim the Splatoon 2 clothing. The company shared two images on social media highlighting how all 12 items look in-game. All of them are hats and shoes, so you can wear them with the Splatfest t-shirts. Here’s what we can claim:

  • Marination Lace-Ups
  • Midnight Slip-Ons
  • New-Day Arrows
  • Novelty Visor (Green)
  • Novelty Visor (Orange)
  • Novelty Visor (Pink)
  • Novelty Visor (Purple)
  • Pearl Punk Crowns
  • Pearl-Scout Lace-Ups
  • Pearlescent Squidkid IV
  • Rina Squidkid IV
  • Trooper Power Stripes

As you can see, the shoes tend to all have an Off the Hook theme and are based on Pearl and Marina.

Here’s how all of those items look:
