Nintendo revealed the first details about the Splatoon 3 Side Order DLC at the September 2023 Direct. Similar to Splatoon 2‘s Octo Expansion, the new expansion will feature new features not found in the original game. A release window of Spring 2024 was also confirmed.
Ascend the floors of the Spire of Order and strengthen your abilities as you climb the tower in an experience that’s designed to be replayed over and over!

In the trailer, Side Order will star an Octoling (presumably Agent 8 from the Octo Expansion) set in a mysterious tower known as the Spire of Order. Inside is a desaturated world where you can take on challenges across a series of floors reached by an elevator. Completing challenges unlocks upgrades for your character as you progress. Nintendo has confirmed that the expansion is designed to be replayed, suggesting this may be a roguelike.
In the Side Order DLC, your character will be accompanied by a character named Acht. They appear to be one of the enemy Octolings from previous Splatoon campaigns, now turned good.
Side Order will be Wave 2 of the Splatoon 3 DLC, following the release of the Inkopolis expansion in Wave 1.
Splatoon 3 is out now for Nintendo Switch. The Side Order DLC expansion will be released in Spring 2024.
