Similar to the first Splatoon, Splatoon 2 will have various mini-games including a new version of Squid Beatz, simply titled “Squid Beatz 2.” Here’s a look at some footage of two tracks from the mini-game.
“New You”
Shooting Starfish – “Turquoise October”
The original Squid Beatz was unlocked with amiibo in Splatoon, and this time it’ll be available through the arcade with 42 fresh songs to choose from, with some tracks that require unlocking.
It’s basically a lite rhythm game but also comes in a hard mode with faster notes and a high score to keep track of your records.
Splatoon 2 will release for the Nintendo Switch on July 21st. Check our previous report for a look at the Splat Chat headset that is headed Westward on the game’s release date.
