Spike Chunsoft shared a tweet of what appears to be a “familiar ship” heading into port, and 999 director Kotaro Uchikoshi added a little extra, teasing that he’s bringing his Nintendo DS title to Steam.

The above is a look at the teaser tweet from Spike Chunsoft with the caption “A familiar ship heads into port.” In case you forgot, 999 takes place in the “Gigantic,” the sister ship of the RMS Titanic. During the game, all of the external doors and windows are sealed off so you don’t get to see too much of it, but a scene similar to the teaser is shown in the opening stage.
Initially, 999 director Kotaro Uchikoshi added a little more to the teaser by saying “It looks like a STEAMship.” However, he later added an addendum saying, “Sorry. Maybe my previous tweet should have been written as follows. “It looks like a vital steamship.” Thank you!”
In any case, we’ll most likely hear of an announcement for the upcoming port in the near future.
