People playing Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition on the PC and noticing some problems will have a way to make the experience a little bit better. Kaldaien, a user known for releasing unofficial fixes and mods to make PC games work better, has worked some magic for this action-RPG. People can now grab a Special K Tales of Vesperia fix that will improve the game’s performance.

The Special K Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition fix was posted on the game’s Steam forum and requires Visual C++ 2017 runtime. Once people get the mod from GitHub and install it, they should see fewer microstutter issues. It will also disable Bloom, Blur, and Depth of Field, in an attempt to make the game look better. However, remember that applying this will only reduce the microstutter effect and not completely remove it.

Kaldaien is known for their work fixing Tales of PC releases. Back in November 2015, a collective fan patch that included some of Kaldaien’s work was released for Tales of Zestiria. A Special K patch was also released for Tales of Symphonia back in February 2016.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
