As previously shared, Soul Hackers 2 will star Ringo, a new protagonist to the series. Both Ringo and Figue have appeared to stop the destruction of mankind. This was suggested during the period Atlus was teasing Soul Hackers 2. Ringo and Figue must protect a specific individual to prevent the fall of mankind.

However, Ichiro Onda, the person Figue was supposed to protect, has already been killed. He was murdered by two mysterious figures known as Iron Mask and Zenon. Both Iron Mask and Zenon belong to the Phantom Society, whose core motivation is to control the Covenant. Their goal is to obtain all of the Covenants, which will summon a being of great power. Most agents of the Phantom Society harbor a great resentment towards the world.

The Yatagarasu organization has taken it upon itself to protect the Covenants to prevent this from happening. This organization is concerned with the “spiritual” protection of Japan. It accepts any within its organization and is wholly independent. The Yatagarasu is linked to the clan of the late Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha.

Soul Hackers 2Ā releases for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on August 25, 2022 in Japan and globally on August 26, 2022.
