The development team of Soul Hackers 2 is actively trying to team up with creators outside of Atlus. The interview mentions the music production studio led by Keiichi Okabe, MONACA. Okabe has helped compose the score for the NieR series, as well as for select entries in the Tekken series. However, outside of MONACA, no other creators are mentioned for potential collaborations.

You can read the interview excerpts below:

  • “We are actively taking up the challenge of teaming up with creators outside of Atlus. MONACA is in charge of the music, but we’re not avoiding the Atlus sound team!”
  • “We wanted to create a new pillar to connect to. So we wanted to take the essence of something the series doesn’t have and create something new.”
  • “… We are currently working hard on development, while being conscious of our international audience with the hope that Soul Hackers 2 will be enjoyed by consumers in every country.”

Soul Hackers 2 will release on August 25, 2022 in Japan and August 26, 2022 in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
