Capcom just released Marvel vs. Capcom Origins, a compilation of Marvel vs. Capcom and Marvel Super Heroes, for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. The two game combo has a Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition style challenge system, GGPO netcode, lobbies for up to 8-players, and replay saving.

While Marvel vs. Capcom Origins is available right now, you cannot buy it in Japan. Well, you can *import* it with a US PSN card or US region XBLA points, but Marvel vs. Capcom Origins isn’t on Japan’s PlayStation Store or Xbox Live Marketplace. Capcom also passed on releasing other arcade ports like Final Fight: Double Impact and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. To be fair, none of these titles were announced for Japan, but it’s a bit odd that you can’t easily buy them in Japan since, well, the original arcade games were made in Japan.
