Soon Japan Will Be Able To Play Chrono Trigger On A Cell Phone

Square Enix is scaling Chrono Trigger down for cell phones. Japan gets the time-traveling RPG this spring, but it isn’t clear what (if any) changes are going to be made.

A new dungeon and New Game+ mode were added to the mobile version of Romancing SaGa 2. There’s also a handful of extra content from the Nintendo DS version like the Lost Sanctum and Dimensional Vortex dungeons Square Enix could include in the mobile phone version of Chrono Trigger.

We haven’t seen too many of Square Enix’s mobile titles in North America, but Namco picked up and distributed Final Fantasy for cell phones in the USA.
