Sony Interactive Entertainment shared some tidbits regarding its next-generation console during a financial results briefing, stating that it will not release over the next twelve months.
According to The Wall Street Journal tech reporter Takashi Mochizuki, Sony will not launch the next-gen PlayStation over the next 12 months, meaning it’ll release sometime after April 2020.
Additionally, it’s been noted that PS Now has seen a 40% annual growth since launch, boasting 700,000 users. Sony also noted that it’ll be putting in much of 31.1 billion yen investment into the development of the next PlayStation console.
