Sony Promises More PS5 Supply, Shares Trailer Showing FFXVI in Real World

Sony took to the PlayStation Blog to confirm more PS5 supply is heading to stores and share a new trailer showcasing games like FFXVI in the real world. However, it didn’t explain what exactly it did to address the supply shortage issues. It also didn’t offer any exact dates as to when people can expect more hardware and peripheral drops. It did confirm PlayStation Direct as a source to find the system worldwide.

Here’s the full Live from PS5 trailer, which focuses on games coming out in 2023 like FFXVI. It begins in Manhattan with Spider-Man appearing in the real world. This is because Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will appear on the console in 2023. After that, the “report” goes to San Francisco. There, Aloy showed up to investigate the city. This is because Horizon Call of the Mountain will be a PSVR 2 game.

After that, it is wise to turn closed captions on. This is because the following segments are in different languages with English translations. The one in Sweden features Kratos and Atreus, referencing God of War Ragnarok. The FFXVI segment comes up at the 30 second mark. That’s when the Eikons Ifrit and Phoenix fight in Japan. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart shows up after that. After that, there’s a quick montage showing other games.

The PS5 is available worldwide, and the supply shortage is expected to ease in 2023, and FFXVI will come to the console on June 22, 2023. Like FFVII Remake, it will be a PS5 exclusive for a limited time.
