Jim Ryan said, “PlayStation Vita was brilliant in many ways, and the actual gaming experience was great, but clearly it’s a business that we’re no longer in now.”

Sony entered the gaming handheld sphere with the PlayStation Portable, which used UMD format discs to play games. The PlayStation Portable also had a digital-only version, the PlayStation Portable Go. The PlayStation Vita was unveiled as the successor to the PSP in 2011, and lasted until March this year, where production was officially discontinued.
