Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Director Teases Shadow Appearance

Jeff Fowler, the director of the Sonic the Hedgehog live-action movie series, shared a picture teasing the appearance of Shadow in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film. The Sonic 3 movie is set to release in cinemas on December 20, 2024.

Note: There will be spoilers for the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie below.

The Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie included a mid-credits scene offering a first look at Shadow the Hedgehog, and teasing his involvement in the events of the sequel. While the image shared deliberately obscures Shadow’s face, it offers a look at his iconic hover shoes and gloves.

In a recent interview, Sega COO Shuji Utsumi cited the box office success of the Sonic movies, and revealed the company’s interest in bringing other Sega intellectual properties to a wider audience, such as the Persona or Like a Dragon series.

The Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie is currently in development, and is set to appear in cinemas on the United States on December 20, 2024. The Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie is now available to watch digitally via Paramount+, as well as on Blu-Ray and DVD.
