Suikoden: Tierkreis is going international. Konami Computer Entertainment America sent out a press release confirming they will publish the Nintendo DS Suikoden game outside of Japan. This shouldn’t come as a surprise since Konami registered a trademark for Suikoden: Tierkreis back in August.
Only three members of the Stars of Destiny are around at the beginning of the game. Your task is to revive 108 of them and usurp an almighty king. Kings, they’re always evil. You have a lot of characters to control, but you don’t have to level up all of them alone. Characters can be sent on quests via Nintendo Wi-Fi where other members of the Suikoden: Tierkreis community pick up transferred characters and complete the quests. When transmitted characters return home they come back with new skills and treasures. This system reminds me of Fire Emblem’s troop loaning system, but it sounds deeper.
We’ll have to wait until an undetermined time to find out how this exactly works since Suikoden: Tierkreis does not have a specific release date in any region.
