Some Materials Revealed for Genshin Impact’s Lyney

HoYoVerse shared a new bit of insight into Lyney, the new five-star character joining Genshin Impact, and this included information about his materials. Both his Ascension and Talent level-up materials were shown. However, the developer didn’t share the new material dropped by a boss used to ascend him.

When it comes to Lyney’s Ascensions, you’ll need four kinds of Genshin Impact materials. As he is a Pyro character, you’ll need Agnidus Agate Slivers, Fragments, Chunks, and Gemstones for him. You’ll also need the new Rainbow Rose flower found in Fontaine. In addition, the Recruit’s Insignias, Sergeant’s Insignias, and Lieutenant’s Insignias will be needed. These will all be paired with the new Normal Boss drop. Of those, the Agnidus Agate line and Fatui insignia drops are already available in-game for farming purposes.

The Genshin Impact Lyney Talent level-up materials involve three items. Again, you’ll need the Fatui insignias already available as drops from Fatui enemies in-gam enow. You’ll also need the Primordial Greenbloom you get from the Guardian of Apep’s Oasis Trounce Domain in Sumeru. Finally, he’ll need the new kind of Talent Books Teachings of Fairness, Guide to Fairness, and Philosophies of Fairness.

Here’s the full reveal for Lyney that also includes his material details.

HoYoVerse also shared some video clips showing off Lyney’s attacks. First, here’s his Bewildering Lights Elemental Skill.

Next, here’s his Wondrous Trick: Miracle Parade Elemental Burst.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC, and Lyney’s banner will begin when 4.0 launches on August 16, 2023.
