The @Simple series is a throwback to D3Publisher’s experimental, budget game days with Simple Series PS2 games like The Zombies vs. Ambulance and The Mountain Climbing RPG. I have to commend D3 Publisher for making wacky games otherwise we wouldn’t have Earth Defense Force. We showed you a Zero Escape inspired @Simple game earlier this week. The Cheating Boyfriend: The Housekeeper Caught You Cheating At The Scene of the Crime is another, sillier @Simple title.
In this game, (which is actually the third title in the Cheating Boyfriend series) you find proof that your boyfriend is a cheater and then confront him by throwing items using the 3DS’ gyroscopic sensors. The boyfriends in this game include a chef that runs a fancy restaurant in the city. You fell for him after eating his delicious food and approached him for a date. But, today he stood you up and you start to wonder if you’re the only woman in his life. It’s time to get some evidence like a shirt with lipstick marks and throw it at him!
The game also has a taciturn tailor who had a rough upbringing and a husband that you catch cheating when you’re working as a housekeeper. Which brings us to Will who is an author from England who dresses like Sherlock Holmes. You get caught up in a mystery novel and start wondering if Will is hiding secrets. At first thinking about mysterious tricks was just for fun, but then you catch him cheating. Now you need to use those detective tricks you learned to send him packing while destroying his pride! D3 comes up with amusing characters like a lecherous gaijin.
The Cheating Boyfriend: The Housekeeper Caught You Cheating At The Scene of the Crime is available now for 300 yen ($3) as an eShop download in Japan.
