Sol Trigger’s Battle System Has Characters Sacrifice Their "Sol" To Power Up An Attacks

Imageepoch’s upcoming PSP role playing game, Sol Trigger, shares something in common with Soul Sacrifice. Both games have players sacrifice part of their characters to use powerful attacks. Sol Trigger won’t make you give up your spine, though.

If you want to use a skill in battle you have to give up some "Sol" and the amount of Sol you use changes the level of the attack. It’s possible to infuse so much Sol in one strike that your character is left in a near-fatal state.

 

Instead of using skills you can use Sol-free weapons. Sol Trigger has a weapon proficiency stat that increases when you practice with the same weapon and when this parameter increases you can learn new skills.

 

Sol Trigger comes out in Japan on August 30.
