Famitsu’s list of New Year’s messages from publishers includes a note from King of Fighters developer SNK Playmore. The publisher says they plan to begin creating social games of various genres. GungHo Games, parent company of Ragnarok Online developer Gravity Games, promises events to celebrate the ten year anniversary of the MMORPG. GungHo also says they’re developing original titles.
Craft & Meisters, makers of Earth Seeker for Wii, says they are planning to announce many mobile phone games. One of their mobile games is Combo Kimarl for Marvelous AQL. Speaking of them, Marvelous AQL say they have many unannounced games in the works. Arc System Works also teased a big announcement is coming up.
Square Enix plans to release new titles, one after another, in Japan. Spike, the studio behind Danganronpa and Way of the Samurai, say they are starting a new project that’s a sequel. Sega has an interesting message noting how next year is the year of the dragon and games from the Yakuza studio (called the "Like a Dragon Studio" in Japanese) will finally go on sale.
Comcept, the new company formed by former Capcom executive Keiji Inafune, says last years seeds were sowed and they’ll bloom in the next year. Oh, and we know what Rondo of Swords and Izuna: The Legendary Ninja publisher Success Corp is doing these days. They’re creating a girl’s pro wrestling game… for web browsers.
