SMT V Sake

SMT V is Getting Its Own Sake in Japan

Shin Megami Tensei V is getting its own brand of Japanese sake. Collaborative distillery Saketsunagi revealed that pre-orders for its SMT V collaboration sake will open at the beginning of December 2021. The sake will come in a wooden box. A special bottle wrapping will feature the game’s main character, the Nahobino. Saketsunagi will announce the official pre-order date at a later date.

The sake is also fairly high-grade. It’s officially graded “Daiginjo.” This means that all of the rice used in the distilling process was milled down to at least 50%. This means that the sake is more costly to make, but results in a fragrant and clean-tasting drink. Though this particular process requires the addition of alcohol, it’s typically considered premium Japanese sake.

Officially titled “Nahobinokami,” the Japanese sake is based on the character of the same name. The bottle cover features gold paper wrapping with a decorative blue rope tied at the neck. The graphic label shows Nahobino in his Wrath Tempest pose. In the past, Saketsunagi released items that tied into anime and manga series such as Golden Kamuy and Cells at Work.

In other SMT V news, Atlus recently released an AR Facebook Camera and Instagram filter featuring Jack Frost. The filter allows users to negotiate with the demon, or have him pose behind you.

The SMT V collaboration sake pre-orders will open at the beginning of December 2021 in Japan. As of writing, Saketsunagi only ships to prefectures within Japan. Shin Megami Tensei V will release for Nintendo Switch on November 11, 2021 in Japan and globally on November 12, 2021.
