Skullgirls 2nd Encore’s Black Dahlia Will Debut at Combo Breaker 2022

Black Dahlia will finally be playable in Skullgirls 2nd Encore, but people will need to attend an event to test her out. The series’ official Twitter account revealed she will be at Combo Breaker 2022. This is a convention in Schaumburg, Illinois dedicated to fighting games. Between May 27-29, 2022, attendees can test her out.

The announcement noted this is an early access version of Black Dahlia. This means people might not see her at her best. For example, during Umbrella’s alpha phase, there were some attacks that didn’t have her final art. It also means there will likely be balancing done before she shows up officially.

Black Dahlia fills an antagonistic role in the story. She works for the Medici Mafia. She’s currently an assassin and bodyguard for the group. She is also the person who went after the Contiello family and killed Squigly and killed most of Nadia Fortune’s Fishbone Gang.

Once Black Dahlia is officially available for Skullgirls 2nd Encore, people will have two ways to get her. One is to buy her alone. Extra DLC characters are $9.99 each. Another is to get the Season 1 Pass. That is $34.99 and also adds Annie of the Stars, Umbrella, extra palette packs, a soundtrack, and an unannounced fourth DLC character.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore is available on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Vita, and PC. Skullgirls is available on Android and Apple iOS devices. Combo Breaker will be held May 27-29, 2022.
