Skullgirls 2nd Encore Previous DLC Is Now Available Entirely For Free

A new update to Skullgirls 2nd Encore has made previous DLC for the title available entirely for free. Liam, a member of the development team, shared this announcement via Twitter. However, the full statement is available to read on the Skullgirls 2nd Encore Steam page. The Skullgirls 2nd Encore free DLC Upgrade Update has now made Squigly, Big Band, Eliza, Beowulf, and Robo-Fortune unlocked by default.

Other changes have accompanied this update, though they’re fairly minor by comparison. The opening and splash screen for Skullgirls 2nd Encore has been updated. Additionally, Robo-Fortune and Fuka’s banners have been updated in the NMO Arena and NMO Arena (Empty). The developers have also updated the state of the Linux release, stating that Linux players will need to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the game.

Annie of the Stars recently received a teaser trailer, which showcased the upcoming fighter. Annie will be making her way to the Steam client of the game first to test the character, and will be added to other platforms as a full release. Additionally, Hidden Variable teased the addition of an unannounced fighter. More information about that character has yet to be revealed. However, it was mentioned that this character would be an entirely new addition to the roster.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore is available for the Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. The Skullgirls 2nd Encore “Free 2nd Encore Upgrade Update” is immediately available.
