Silent Hill: Ascension Release Date May Fall on Halloween

The Google Play listing for Silent Hill: Ascension is live and suggests a Halloween release date. The description for the Genvid experience says it will launch on October 31, 2023. As this is an interactive experience, the page also clarified that it will premiere at 6pm PT/9pm ET that day. However, Gematsu’s Sal Romano said developer Genvid only said to wait for additional updates. [Thanks, Gematsu!]

We first learned about Silent Hill: Ascension back in 2023. It was described as an interactive series at the time. It has a 2023 release window at the time. Genvid also mentioned the goal would be for people to watch and interact to determine the course of the story to determine the “canon” path during the experience. An update in 2023 noted there would be multiple characters showcased from around the world and the audience watching would determine their fates.

This product listing notes the first platform revealed for the experience. Prior to this, Bad Robot Games, Behaviour Interactive, and Genvid didn’t mention any. Also, while the listing does mention pre-registering, it also brings up in-app purchases. However, there’s no new trailer there, as the only one appearing on the listing is from the May 2023 reveal.

The Silent Hill: Ascension release date looks like it could be October 31, 2023. At the moment, only Android devices are confirmed as a platform.
