Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon DLC Will Add Online Multiplayer

It seems the Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon free update will arrive first, as it was billed as “coming soon” during the announcement. It will include five major additions, aside from the typical fixes you expect from an update. Random Knight, a randomized character option, will be added. He transforms into another unlocked character at the start of each run. Respawn Turn Speed can be altered in options. All objects and opponents will have portraits and enhanced descriptions, to help people better know how to deal with them. You’ll see how strong the CPU is, so you know what to expect. There will also be multiplayer tips to help you improve you skills.

As for the DLC, three packs are on the way. It also has a “coming soon” date. Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon online multiplayer is coming. (Only local is available now.) It will include a ranking system and matchmaking. The PC version will get mod support. The example shown hinted at people creating custom characters. More playable characters, enemies, relics, and bosses were also teased. During that segment, Mona showed up.
