Shovel Knight Has A Publisher In Japan, Also Coming To Xbox One On April 29th

Shovel Knight is coming to Xbox One on April 29th, developer Yacht Club Games have announced. In addition, the studio also confirmed that Shovel Knight has found a publisher in Japan and will be released in that territory with Japanese text—which will be made available in all regions.

Additionally, the Plague of Shadows update, which makes the Plague Knight playable in his own campaign, is still in progress, following positive feedback from PAX East. Yacht Club say they’ve been working on alchemy items, upgrades, and overarching systems pertaining to the Plague of Shadows campaign.

Yacht Club are also working on Challenge Mode, which will include speed run challenges, boss rematches, and other rule-bending ways to play Shovel Knight. Challenge Mode will debut alongside the Plague of Shadows update.
