Should You Destroy the Tyrant’s Star Melancholia Crystals Metaphor: ReFantazio?

Tyrant’s Star is the final dungeon that players will tackle in Metaphor: ReFantazio. One of the key parts of this dungeon is the presence of several crystals. These crystals are completely optional and each have a different challenge with it, so is it worth destroying all of the Tyrant’s Star Melancholia Crystals in Metaphor: ReFantazio?

Tyrant’s Star Optional Melancholia Crystals, Explained

The Melancholia Crystals are optional crystals you can destroy on the way to meet up with Louis for the final battle. These are the same crystals you have defeated in the past, such as the palace. They each have an optional boss battle associated with them. These bosses are going to be familiar, being devilish, more powerful versions of all major story bosses.

You do not have to take out all of these bosses. You can go straight to Louis and this dungeon will take you a couple of minutes to get through at best. Destroying all of these crystals and fighting these bosses will take a significant amount of time. But it might be worth your time in a few ways.

Should You Destroy the Tyrant’s Star Crystals in Metaphor: ReFantazio?

The question you may have is whether or not you should destroy the Tyrant’s Star Melancholia Crystals in Metaphor: ReFantazio. In my opinion, you certainly should take the time to destroy them. It will add a considerable amount of time but it is worth it. In addition, these boss fights are super easy compared to before.

The reason you should destroy the crystals is because of a three-fold reason. First, you’ll get some really good XP to level up before the final fight. Second, you get some of the best weapons in the game for most Archetypes. Finally, destroying all of them will make Louis’ final form much weaker. Without doing this, his final form is ridiculous and able to do upwards of 12 attacks within the same turn.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
