Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate - live stream mode

Shiren the Wanderer 5plus Video Guidelines Allow Monetization

Spike Chunsoft published new guidelines for people who want to publish gameplay videos and live streams of Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate. While the company generally only allows non-profitable uploads of gameplay videos in its Play License guidelines, it makes an exception for The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate. Individuals who “utilize gameplay videos with systems provided by video-uploading websites” will be allowed to monetize the videos.

However, the streamers should make sure that the websites are not prohibited by Spike Chunsoft, such as ones that violate public order or are related to religious, political, and antisocial activities. They must also obey other rules listed in the general guidelines, such as not slandering other players or third-party entities, not posting personal private information, and not altering images in the gameplay videos.

The monetization allowance only applies to The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate; it does not apply to any other titles owned by Spike Chunsoft, including any other Mystery Dungeon and Shiren the Wanderer titles. Although it should mainly refer to the new ports on Switch and PC, the license list also allows monetization of videos of the 2015 PlayStation Vita release.

Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate for Nintendo Switch and PC will launch simultaneously worldwide on December 2, 2020. You can also read our interview with the director Tomoya Shinozaki on how Spike Chunsoft made the game more widely available.
