Sega shared a look at the official trailer #1 for Shin Sakura Taisen the Animation which begins in April 2020.

Here’s a story summary from the official website:

The Imperial Combat Revue: Floral Division captain Seijurou Kamiyama transfers to Europe, putting Sakura Amamiya in charge as the acting captain. Kamiyama returns for a short while to see the Floral Division working hard as they would daily. However, he appears with an unknown girl.

Her name is Clara.

They say that she’s the only survivor of the Moscow Combat Revue that was destroyed in a major incident. Entrusted by Kamiyama, Sakura and the others welcome Clara as a new transfer to the Floral Division.

Meanwhile, a party that goes by Moscow Combat Revue suddenly appears at the Imperial Capital.

Project Sakura Wars is available for PlayStation 4 in Japan. The game releases in North America and Europe in Spring 2020.  Shin Sakura Taisen the Animation premieres in April 2020. Additionally, a stage play called Shin Sakura Taisen the Stage takes place on March 5-8, 2020 at the Sogetsu Hall in Tokyo.
