Shantae Switch Port and Game Boy Color Rerelease Announced

The original Shantae is coming back. The Shantae Game Boy Color game will be be rereleased on cartridges and brought to the Nintendo Switch in September 2020. People will be able to get physical copies of both, thanks to WayForward and Limited Run Games. The Switch copies will also be available digitally.

The original Shantae Game Boy Color game was one of the last Game Boy Color titles and came out in 2002. It’s become a cult classic and tends to go for extreme prices online. This will mark an easier means of people being able to grab it.

Another game in the series was also confirmed. Shantae: Risky’s Revenge will be getting a Switch physical release in September 2020. It will also appear digitally on the Switch and Xbox One.
