One region’s Shantae and the Seven Sirens Switch version is being hit by an incredibly minor delay. WayForward announced that Europe won’t see the game in that region on May 28, 2020, like the rest of the platforms around the world. Instead, its new launch date is June 4, 2020.
The studio didn’t explain why Shantae won’t be sashaying her way onto the Switch in Europe that day. In the announcement, it only noted this will affect the European version only and was “beyond our control.”
Here’s the tweet that was the bearer of bad news.
European Switch owners: Due to reasons beyond our control, the launch date for Shantae and the Seven Sirens has been moved to June 4. Other platforms/regions, including Switch in North America, should remain unaffected. We apologize for the inconvenience! pic.twitter.com/8Kt45VZqgV

Shantae and the Seven Sirens follows the now-iconic half-genie as she heads to a festival designed just for fellow half-genies to celebrate who they are. Unfortunately, things go awry and the other half-genies start disappearing. It is up to Shantae to explore the island and use her dances and transformations to figure out what is going on.
Shantae and the Seven Sirens Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions will launch in almost every region on May 28, 2020. It will come to the Switch in Europe on June 4, 2020. The game is immediately available on Apple iOS devices via Apple Arcade.
