Shaman King Spin-offs English Releases Starting in August 2020

Kodansha isn’t just releasing mainline Shaman King manga volumes that never appeared in English to western audiences. During the company’s SDCC 2020 panel on July 23, 2020, it confirmed that Shaman King spin-off mangas will begin appearing outside Japan in August 2020. These will be followed by physical Shaman King Omnibus editions in 2021.

In order, here’s when Hiroyuki Takei’s Shaman King spin-offs will begin to appear digitally in August 2020.

  • August 4, 2020: Shaman King Zero
  • August 11, 2020: Shaman King: Flowers vol. 1
  • August 18, 2020: Shaman King: Super Star vol. 1
  • August 25, 2020: Shaman King: Red Crimson vol. 1

As for the physical copies of the Shaman King omnibus editions, those will begin appearing in Spring 2021. It will start with volumes one and two, which will appear simultaneously in the US and Canada in Spring 2021. All eleven will roll out by the time 2022 ends. Each volume will be $19.99, contain three volumes of the manga, and be about 600 pages long.

The 35 volumes of the Shaman King manga series will appear on comiXology starting on July 28, 2020. The Shaman King spin-off roll-out will begin on August 4, 2020 with Shaman King Zero. The new anime adaptation will appear in Japan in April 2021.
