First, there’s 2B. In this Shadowverse NieR: Automata collaboration, she’s a Swordcraft character. This means she summons officer and commander units to the field, with the potentially cheap-to-deploy officers focusing on quickly attacking as soon as possible, and the officers backing them up. If you buy her, you’ll get her emblem, her “A Blade with a Quiet Volition” flare, and matching unit sleeves.

Here’s the 2B trailer.

As for 9S, he will be a Portalcraft leader in Shadowverse. This sort of character focuses on triggering Resonance when their deck has certain numbers of cards in it. When they do, the puppet followers or artifacts they have placed could have certain effects connected to them to make them more effective. Unlike 2B, he didn’t received a leader trailer. But, like 2B, you will get his emblem, his “A Soul and an Ephemeral Kindness” flair, and his sleeves when you buy him from the shop.

There will also be a 10-day Shadowverse NieR: Automata Special Daily Bonus login event. Here’s what you get for showing up between May 21 and June 10, 2020.

  • Day 1: 2B Emblem
  • Day 2: 1 World Uprooted Card Pack Ticket
  • Day 3: 1 World Uprooted Card Pack Ticket
  • Day 4: 1 World Uprooted Card Pack Ticket

Shadowverse has had multiple crossovers so far. For example, Fate characters have appeared. Prior to the NieR: Automata collaboration, The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls heroines showed up as leaders.

Shadowverse is available on PCs and both Android and Apple iOS devices. It also has an anime series and will soon have a Nintendo Switch game based on that anime.
