In the Shadows takes players to a world of scary shadow creatures. Like the same shadows that scared many as children, they can be turned back into harmless objects again with clever use of light.
As a man diving back into his childhood, players must use light to change the shadow monsters that haunt him back into normal, sometimes surprisingly-large household objects. These objects are useful, as they’ll help the player platform and solve the game’s puzzles.
Added challenge is created by adding in collectible stars and secret areas the player can access if they use light and monster positioning in clever ways. Finding these areas can help the player learn more about the game’s story of confronting fears and finding comfort.
In the Shadows has already passed through Steam Greenlight, and is now raising funds through Kickstarter in an effort to release in Q4 this year.
