Sony Pictures found a new director for the movie adaptation of Shadow of the Colossus. Andrés Muschietti who directed the horror movie Mama will direct the Shadow of the Colossus film. Seth Lochhead who wrote the script for the 2011 action movie Hanna is writing the script.

Recently, Sony has been pushing to transform more of their video game hits into films. A Heavenly Sword movie was released earlier this month and an origin story for Ratchet & Clank is scheduled for 2015. Sony Pictures also has an Uncharted film scheduled for summer 2016.
