Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus sold 94,324 copies at retail when it released last week in Japan, and sales tracker, Media Create, report that this was a 93.37% sell-through, which means the game was virtually sold out at stores.

That explains the high number of download sales. Marvelous AQL reported that total sales, including downloads, were 120,000, which means that a lot of folks who couldn’t find the game at a store opted to download it instead.

Meanwhile, the retail version of Phantasy Star Online 2 saw a high sell-through percentage as well. At 61,227 retail copies sold, Phantasy Star Online 2 sold through 89.39% of its shipment.
