The Senran Kagura series is celebrating its 5th anniversary next month, and producer Kenichiro Takaki recently announced on Twitter that the games of the series has sold over a million copies around the world.

Takaki wrote that he’s been working so hard on the games lately he hasn’t had time to check, but when he saw that it has finally surpassed the one million total sales mark, he let out a weird “hyaa!” sound.

The series started out with Senran Kagura: Skirting Shadows for the 3DS back in 2011, and the latest being Senran Kagura: Estival Versus, which has yet to release in the West. Meanwhile, Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson released today in Europe and North America will get it on September 15th.
