Bursting breasts producer, Kenichiro Takaki, returned to the Senran Kagura blog today, providing an update on the game’s sales. Kagura, Takaki says, will cross the 80,000 mark by the end of the year.

Senran Kagura: Portrait of Girls debuted back in September, selling 52,000 copies in its first week, and providing a short boost to Nintendo 3DS sales as well. Hitting the system early seems to have paid off, and considering that there’s an ongoing manga series and various merchandise being sold, Marvelous may have a new series to bank upon.

Speaking with Siliconera, Takaki made no secret of the fact that he’d like to develop a sequel. Co-op and versus modes are on his list of features to add, and he plans to improve the way the game’s story and characters are represented as well.
