An official statement from the developers mentions that all purchases for in-game currency have been suspended. Additionally, in accordance with a law involving mobile games, in-game currency that has not been spent will be refunded. Users will still be able to access and play the game until service later this year.

The statement goes on to read that due to “changes in the external environment” regarding the development of the game, the developers have ultimately decided to terminate service.

Since the release of Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi and Sengoku Basara Sanada Yukimura-den, the Sengoku Basara series has not seen any recent console releases. Sengoku Basara Battle Party, like Sumeragi and Yukimura-den, was a release exclusive to Japanese audiences.

However, the spirit of the series lives on in Capcom’s mobile card game Teppen. Fans of the series can get their hands on Sengoku Basara cards featuring characters from the series like Date Masamune, Katakura Kojuro, and the devil king himself Oda Nobunaga.

Sengoku Basara Battle Party is currently available on Android and iOS devices in Japan, but service will be ending on December 21, 2020.
