Sengoku Basara 4 Crazy As Ever, Has Castles That Pop Out Of The Ground

Every army should have its own special, over-the-top skill to complement their already-zany masters, right? Last we looked, we had a glimpse of the Tower of Guns, The Great Wheel formation and other types of special enemy forms that you’ll encounter in Sengoku Basara 4 and the newest video shows off more of the types players will encounter in the game.

There’s that crazy all-woman army of Ii Naotora’s most likely, with a spinning-spear attack even Yukimura can’t get out of, amongst other more… esoteric… variants of troop formations.

As if that weren’t enough, we also have modular castles that pop out of the ground—since lever technology was clearly more advanced in the past than it is now—and even mini-games such as gunning down foes while on a minecart. There’s even a first-person mode of what looks like Hondam Honda Tadakatsu’s Cannonfire mode!

Sengoku Basara 4 will be on the PlayStation 3 January 3rd 2014.
