Sega West president, Mike Hayes, is scheduled to leave the company this summer, according to a Gamasutra report. Hayes, who has been with Sega since 2004, spearheaded their acquisitions of Sports Interactive and The Creative Assembly. His post will be taken over by Jurgen Post, the Sega’s current COO.

This news comes just a month after Sega halved their forecast for the company’s ongoing fiscal year, and announced the cancellation of multiple projects as well as lay-offs at Sega’s U.S. and European divisions.

At the same time, Sega also announced their intent to focus on strong brands such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Aliens, Football Manager and Total War.
