Sega once again ain’t gonna let Halloween get to it. In honor of the holiday, the company is gonna creep down in Pumpkin Hill. While this was first accomplished with new, official art showing Cream the Rabbit and two Chao in Sonic Adventure 2’s Pumpkin Hill, which was shared on Twitter, it has continued with a new remix of a familiar tune. Composer Tomoya Ohtani has put together “A Ghost’s Pumpkin Soup (Remix 2019)” for Halloween.

Ohtani originally composed “A Ghost’s Pumpkin Soup” as the song for Sonic Adventure 2’s Pumpkin Hill stage. This is a whole Halloween-themed area, with a ghost train, the Boos ghost enemies, and Pumpkin Mountain. (More recently, Ohtani composed multiple songs on the Team Sonic Racing soundtrack.)

Here is Ohtani’s new remix of “A Ghost’s Pumpkin Soup.”

This isn’t the first time Sega has released an “A Ghost’s Pumpkin Soup” remix in honor of Halloween. In 2018, the “treat” was a 10-hour mix of the Sonic Adventure 2 song.

Sonic Adventure 2 is available for the Dreamcast, GameCube, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
