In the original Sonic the Hedgehog 2 title screen, both Sonic and Tails are perched above the game’s logo. On the 2020 rendition shared on Twitter, both Sonic and Tails each get their own bubble and Sega emphasizes staying “at least 6912 pixels apart.”

Here’s a side-by-side comparison of the two.

As for the Sonic the Hedgehog Giphy stickers, all four are available on the series’ official page. There’s Online Sonic, Social Distancing Sonic and Tails, Stay Home Sonic, and Work from Home Tails. You can see all four of them in action in the tweet below.

In case you’ve missed it, plenty of other fun messages encouraging people to stay safe have appeared online. Capcom had Chun-Li and Ryu in motivational posters. Resident Evil’s Albert Wesker lectured people about the importance of wearing masks. Square Enix’s Home de Chocobo movement has everyone playing the iconic chocobo theme song.

As for the actual Sonic the Hedgehog 2, it recently appeared again as part of the Sega Ages line for the Nintendo Switch. It has an Original Mode, a Ring Keep Mode, and a Super Sonic Mode. You also have Sonic Mania’s Drop Dash ability in it.
