Countdown clocks for video game announcements are over. Sega has a new marketing gimmick, a teaser site with a countup clock, and they’re testing it with Resonance of Fate (aka End of Eternity in Japan).

The clock is moving up towards Resonance of Fate’s release date. When it was announced Sega announced a vague winter 2009 window for Japan. Maybe they were just waiting for Square Enix to announce Final Fantasy XIII’s release date before they set a date for Resonance of Fate. Going up against FFXIII would put Sega in a bad position. As a pie in the sky guess I’ll put my chips on late November.
Sega will release Resonance of Fate is scheduled for “early 2010” in the West.
