Sega Is Celebrating Sonic’s 27th Birthday With A Live Event Broadcast On June 23

Sonic the Hedgehog turns 27 on June 23 and Sega is celebrating his birthday with another special live event, and this time it’ll take place at Tokyo Joypolis and it’ll be live streamed.

The live stream for Sonic’s birthday party will be available on YouTube and Periscope on June 23, 2018. Producer Takashi Iizuka will join the celebration to share details for Sonic Mania Plus and the latest on Sonic the Hedgehog. More information on the Sonic Birthday 2018 event will be announced on a later date.

Sonic the Hedgehog first released in June 23, 1991 for the Sega Genesis.
