Sega and Delight Works will be working together to bring Sakura Revolution (or Sakura Kakumei) to mobile devices in Japan sometime this Fall. More information about this new mobile game was shared through the official Delight Works and Sega YouTube channels. Sakura Revolution is in fact “Project Black,” the title that Sega was recently teasing. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
To announce this new mobile title, a special twenty minute animation was shown on both the Sega and Delight Works YouTube channels. This introduced the new setting and characters that will be in Sakura Revolution. This animation was done by Japanese animation studio Clover Works and is a brief summary of the beginning of the story.

Character biographies have been posted on the official website. Sakura Shino is the name of one of the heroines of this new story. However, bits and pieces of the biographies are blocked out and hidden. Additional character profiles currently have unrevealed artwork as well. Fans of the Sakura Wars series will need to wait as more information is periodically revealed to learn more about the new characters in this upcoming title.
This entry will be taking place in Taishou 100 and characters will wear mecha suits called Spiricle Dress, or Ryoushi Dress. Other details have not yet been disclosed. The two factions in Sakura Revolution are the Dai Teikoku Kagekidan B.L.A.C.K. and Teikoku Kagekidan Aogashima. The theme song of Sakura Revolution, “SAKURA HIKARU Revolution,” will be distributed online sometime in the future.
